The blitz packages in the video below allow for simple schemes that allow your defenders to wreak havoc on the offense.  The players can process and execute their assignments by reacting rather than having to do a lot of thinking

You can see the full presentation from Coach Marcus Wilder on Running Multiple Blitzes out of the 4-2-5 Package on Glazier Drive.

Coach Wilder is the Co-Defensive Coordinator at Duncanville (TX) High School.

We have provided a summary of his terminology below the video for your reference.

City Blitzes are 6 man blitzes with cover 1 behind it.

Atlanta = Blitz the A Gap
Boston = Blitz the B Gap
Chicago = Blitz the C Gap

They play with a strong side defensive end and strong side defensive tackle.

The End aligns in a 5 technique.  If there is a tight end, he becomes a 6 technique.  The tackle is a 3b gap defender.

They try to take a lot of thinking out of the game by making them a one gap defender with strong and weak alignment.

These responsibilities do change for their blitzes.

Money blitzes personnel is remove the Will Linebacker and put in an extra cover defensive back.  The free safety is the blitzer in the A gap. (Atlanta Blitz)

High School Quarterbacks don't usually handle vertical pressure from the A gaps.
