The BGO drill (Ball Get Off) not only focuses on the get off, but also works on technique for finishing on the quarterback.  The drill works on changing direction and overall agility/athleticism.

UTSA (University of Texas as San Antonio) Defensive Line Coach Siddiq Haynes uses practice video to walk you through how he coaches the drill.

His entire talk is avialable as a part of Glazier Drive. The video takes you through the D-Line Pass Rush Schemes that have helped UTSA to frequent top 25 rankings over the past several seasons.

🏈Perfect 3 Point Stance

🏈Emphasize knee drive and punching

🏈Finishing on the quarterback.  If you are on the ball side of the quarterback, secure the tackle and get the arm.  If you are on the other side, you need to match hands.

🏈Drill starts on ball or foot movement

🏈 The drill reps putting your foot in the ground and getting flat down the line of scrimmage to react to the quarterback getting rid of the ball.  At their size, linemen need to work on changing direction.
