1. Defensive Front Positioning Principles:

- Set the front to the tight end's side
- If no tight end, set to the field side
- If trips formation, set away from trips
- Goal is to position defenders where the offense is likely to run the football

- Defensive line uses techniques like 9, 3, shade, and 5 positions
- Linebackers typically use 50 and 10 techniques
- Safeties and corners adjust based on offensive personnel and receiver positioning
