You can run a vertical passing game that allows your receivers to make route decisions based on how the defenders are playing.  At the same time, that scheme can be simple for the players to understand and execute.

Rick Bowie, Offensive Coordinator, Abilene Christian shows you how he does it with his Storm concept.  At the time of the clinic presentation, Coach Bowie was the OC at Valdosta State.

The STORM concept

- Higher percentage vertical passing game with simple Quarterback programming.
- Answers vs. all coverages
- Allows you to get your best player the football whether it is in the slot or outside.
- Way to beat multiple coverages built into the call--man, mini, quarters, 3
- Great way to force double moves.
- Ability to max protect, or 5 and 6 man protections.
- Allows for flexibility of your formations--2 x 2, 3 x 1, tight end attached, tight end wing.
- 2 Minute Drill--Always on the call sheet.  Super easy to call and communicate.
