Compete in the Red Zone with this 1 on 1 Drill - Brian Nix

Teach your players to compete with this 1 on 1 drill for red zone situations from Brian Nix, Head Football Coach at Alcoa (TN) High School.  You can use this drill to isolate 1 on 1 matchups in the red zone and teach the skills and the competitive fire that your players need to execute in a game!

This is a very good drill to  use to start or end practice.

The football is set on the  5 or 10 going in.

Almost every position on your team can compete in this drill!

Some of the one on one scenarios are:

• DB and Receiver man to man
  
  
• Running Back and Linebacker that will either be a pass rush or a pass coverage man to man
  
  
• Offensive lineman against a defensive lineman or a linebacker (anyone that plays on the edge of their defense.  The offensive lineman has the option to reach block or pass set.  The edge has to read by what the lineman does whether it is going to be a run or a pass.
