As a running back, making the correct decision on a whim is the name of the game. To help train this decision-making, use the Running Back Bag Read & Cut Drill.
The drill starts with the ball carrier five feet from the front of the bags.
The ball carrier will then attack the bag and will make his cut according to the direction the bag holder moves the bag. Always make the cut opposite the direction the bag is moved.
Rotate the ball to the opposite arm in cut, keeping the ball on the outside.
The ball carrier must run inside the bags.
