Defensive Recover Tackling Drill

The Defensive Recover Tackling drill helps simulate a fallen tackler get back up and continue to pursue the call carrier.

The tackler will start out lying flat on the ground facing the dummy (ball carrier).

Once the dummy moves in a certain direction, the tackler will get up, square himself to the dummy and use a form tackle with his head up, using his hips and his feet.

He then finishes going through the ball carrier, not stopping on contact.
