DOMINATE the Ground Game: Elite 3-3-3 High Safety Run Fits - Tremaine Jackson

This video breaks down an effective defensive approach using a 3-3-3 structure with high safeties to stop the run game. Key points include:

• The base defense uses a "tight front" with defensive ends and tackles in four-eye techniques (lined up on offensive tackles' inside eyes)
• Features a flexible nose guard alignment that changes based on game situation
• Linebacker structure includes Sam, Mike, and Will positions, typically aligned at 4 yards depth
• Uses a "Jet" safety positioned 10 yards deep over the ball or the #3 receiver
• Two "Vice" safeties play quarters coverage with specific run fit responsibilities
• The defensive philosophy emphasizes "spill" technique - forcing runners to the outside where safeties can make tackles
• The coach explains their unique personnel strategy: recruiting primarily interior defensive linemen rather than traditional defensive ends
• Shows multiple examples against counter plays and gap schemes
• Compares their 3-high safety defense to "the defensive version of the option" that offenses must specifically prepare for
• Notes this approach led to "one of the best run defenses in the country"
• Demonstrates adaptability against various offensive formations like trips and nub tight end looks

The video includes several play diagrams and film examples showing successful run fits against different offensive attacks.
