Running Back Step and Plant Drill

Running Back Step & Plant Drill

Illustration of RUNNING BACK STEP AND PLANT DRILL

The step and plant drill works on high knees as if stepping through traffic. The first step is the foot closest to the bag. As the running back crosses over the bags, switch the football to the opposite arm.

Running back should always keep his eyes focused straight ahead. Once all the running backs have completed the run-through, return the drill from the opposite direction.
